you need a tuner and the antenna, and of course you have to pay xm.
You can do this with the stock HU, but it is areound 450 at the dealer, 300 online.
Or buy an aftermarket HU, tuner, and antenna, and pay xm.

Default What to do now?

Or, you can go to www.trdsparks.com and take advantage of the great sale on the tuner. The sale includes Free activation and one year Free XM Service with the purchase of the tuner for $289.00. Just a thought.

Well, I just bought it from you, and will now be an XMer.
I was just wondering if this XM kit includes the tuner cover that I have either sold separately or included with the kit.

instead of dropping the $450 for the dealer optioned XM, I'm getting a new head unit *alpine CDA-9833*, XM direct tuner w/ antenna, and the Alpine xm adapter. With free shipping, I'll come out about $50 below the Scion unit, and have a better head unit to build the rest of my system around.

Default XM

Why not drop $289.00 for the Scion unit w/antenna and get Free Activation and 1 Year Free XM Service from www.trdsparks.com?

Because then, I would still have the stock head unit, with no aux input or RCA outputs to the amps. I would have the buy the toyota add on input... which is $60-100 depending on the seller. Also, the outputs would have to be done from a line level adapter, giving MUCH weaker signal to the amps.

If it weren't for the fact I'm adding amps, subs, and replacing the stock speakers, I would hop all over your deal... but with such a large expenditure for the rest of the system, keeping the stock deck doesn't really make sense.
