yeah, another ground wire kit post.. just looking for advice
ok guys, with all this talk of ground wire kits, i decided to make one to see if i feel any difference. i don't want to start another thread on whether they work or not though, i'm just looking for advice on the best points to ground.
so far i was thinking a line -
alternator --> battery pos --> chassis
and then another line -
battery neg --> right side body --> firewall --> coil pack --> head --> left side body
anyone think thats a good setup? or a bad one?
also, for the coil pack is it good enough to just ground one coil or should i do all 4?
what about the throttle body? since i'm already grounding the engine, is there a need for another ground to that?
and will a ground to the trans do anything if it's a manual?
i appreciate any help, and i'll give you an honest opinion on ground kits after i try it out.

hmm.. i looked at all the threads about ground kits before i posted... i know there's people that have DONE each coil, the throttle body, and the trans (still don't know about manual), but unless i missed it i haven't seen anyone actually talk about the benefits of those specific points
i'd rather not do them just because someone else did. they don't seem like they would be important to me, but if they are, i'd actually like to learn about it and find out why i'm doing them.

ClashCityRocker, try https://www.scionlife.com/fourms/viewtopic.php?t=29261 and you should have all the info you need.
i have the ground fusion grounding kit, the points that they have seems to work good.
batter - right side chasis - firewall- left side chasis
left chasis - wire harness on the engine
leff chasis - open hole near the alternator - battery
battery - engine
go to www.groundfusion.com to see their wiring

well i appreciate you guys trying to help me out, but maybe i didn't word my post the right way... asking for advice on the setup i suggested was just a side thing - i already know what the Big 3 are, and will do them, among others...
tha main point of the post was to find out more about those last 3 questions, and i looked again through all the ground wire posts and tried googling, but i still haven't found answers to them...
the only voltage readings i've seen on a tc are from mikochu, and he only tested with grounds on the body, head, and coilpack..
i have yet to see any readings showing, or for anyone to explain why grounding all 4 coils is better than just 1, or if just 1 is sufficient... or whether grounding the throttle body is necessary seeing as its bolted to the engine block which is going to be grounded anyway... or whether or not a ground to the trans does anything with a manual since the shifting isn't controlled electronically
they might be dumb questions, since i'm basically new to all this, but just wondering if anyone has ideas on those specific things...
by the way, that link doesn't work, jallamas
