The newest struts just shipped out end of last week. So if you have had them for more than a week you do not have the final design.

The biggest problem with our car is the fact that the strut towers are so thin and are easily tweaked. On one of the test cars the tech had to reweld the seams of the strut tower tin because the welds were torn apart.

Everyone doubting these wait a month or so to trade yours in on warranty to make sure it is finally fixed.

So Ted, you're saying the only benefits to the newer easy street struts are that they are quiet? Frankly, my first gen struts are running just fine after putting 60k on them and it's be a shame to think I'm upgrading to newer struts only to find out I'll be sacrificing my drop. Sounds like true strut upgrading would be to move to another brand IMO...

 

Unfortunately I agree with you. I ...from what I have seen...think the Air Runner struts look pretty awesome. Too bad no one seems to sell them seperately, making them an expensive option. I am waiting now for the "New" , "New" struts out of Airlift hoping to gain a little bit more strut clearance to my tires and therefore a little more camber, solving my body interference problems when dumped. I was told a nearly a month ago that they would ship me some to replace the "New" struts I just installed. I heard 2.5 weeks ago that the "New" new struts were actually still in manufacturing and that they were waiting on some components and hoped to ship them within 2-3 weeks. Perhaps I will see them sometime this fall:/
