Default air ride question. for bagged xbs.

hi. im a DJ and every weekend i have a gig to drive too, sometimes far and close. i have some Tein springs installed and body kits. problem is it scrapes like crazy on bumps and im tired of goin side ways to go up and down them ramps. especially when i have my dj set up loaded in the back.

the 2 point is that i just wanna lift my car up and down them bumps and ramps without scraping my body kits and exhaust. "BUT" im not shure if the air rides will be able to handle the DJ weight. (picture is below).

Im trying to get the Easy Street Digital Air Ride. just wondering if it will be able to hold that much stuff and weight. the weight is like 5 people in the back kinda.

1. Will it be able to hold it if i was to increase it up and lower down?
2. how long will it last?
3. my Tein springs can hold it, does the the bags have the same strength or better?
4. do i need some other things sold separately from the the complete EasyStreet digital air ride pack for this situation?
5. will the bags pop once all the stuff is loaded when doriving?

(Picture is below of my DJ equipments. please some one help and answer the 5 questions.)

An air ride setup should have no problem handling the weight you carry (and then some). The bags are generally rated at 2500 lbs each (so the rear bags would have aombined capacity of 5,000 pounds (likely more than your box fully loaded). I would have no concerns about how long they last (remember this technology has been used in trucks for eons).

Easy streets setup is very good as long as you make sure to get the latest versions of the front struts (there have been a few versions the earlier ones with some failures (of the shock part not of the bags themselves)). I would not necessarily suggest spending the extra money for the digital pressure based controls. The digital display is fine, but, the pressure based computer ride height controls and memory are limited in their capabilty. Pressures needed to attain a certain ride height are very dependant on ambient air temperature. Easy streets system just memorizes pressure that you set when you memorize a setting. This pressure will give a different ride height depending on the temperature at the time. A better system is available from Air Ride Technologies. It is called Level Pro. It uses mechanical sensors at all 4 corners to measure suspension height. A memorized height will repeat when asked and pressures will be higher or lower to attain that exact height regardless of air temperature. The only problem is that their system is a bit pricey and installing the height sensors is a bit more work than a standard bag system install. If I did not want to get Level Pro, I would simply get the bag system with a digital guage unit and manually adjust pressures using a measuring tape to be sure of heights (after a while you will get a feel for how much pressure you need where to be close to the heights you want on hot days and cold). In my opinion the pressure based digital memory system is a waste of money.

Pressure based systems are not as good as the height based systems like the Level Pro but you are also paying $1000 more for the level pro system.

When the Easystreet struts are finally released this month they will have all of the problems taken care of. They have gone the extra distance to make sure they have it right.

For your different load weights air ride is your best bet. If you went with a spring you would either be too high or too low usually depending on what is in your car.

1It will handle the weight just fine.

2 will need regular maintenance.

3 can lift a house

4. randode.com or scionpro.com for a complete kit

5. It will stay together just fine as long as the install is done right.
