There is a trick to eleminating vibration transfer to the chassis. You need to order additional isolator bushing for mounting the compressor. And dependnig on the hardware they supply, you may have to run by the hardware store for some longer bolts.

What you have to do is run an isolator bushing on both sides of whatever you mount it to. (like a sandwich.) I was amazed the first time I saw this done. The reduction in noise and vibration transfer is quite significant.

Thanks for the tip.
What bushings do I need to get, just any old bushings?
And do I use the new bushings (on the underside where the compressor is) in addition to the ones that come with the compressor?
Thanks.

Yeah Snicka, RTon20s is a great tip I have sound deadener on the inside and the stand alone frame IMO helps, now maybe after reading RTons20s tip I might do bushings on the frame mounts - couldn't hurt and might help on shock as well Thanks for all the input... Lucky I haven't finished completely and still have it on jack stands....

Oh yea Snicka... I found condensor/radiator mounts from Cabe Toyota parts department that I used on my o'skool celica oil cooler for shock mounts that would be great for this application I will see if I can find them again, they are heavy duty about 1/2" thick here I go again another change in the design and layout it's all good :D

Thanks for the tip!

A friend of mine also told me about some bushings that are used between air cylinders and the upper strut tower that would work well.

I'm gonna try to track those down.

Just a quick follow up on the Air Runner upgrade… as usual I can’t leave well enough alone and now this mod has taken on a new path :D It was going to be all SS braided line but I found a 37 degree flare tool from Rigid that was affordable and has got me headed in a new direction. I will admit that you will abuse your hands and you will tap into that “Jedi – Zen” level when doing this kind of work. As much as I tried to keep it simple, I got carried away with the flow of the SS hardline and now it’s IMO a frickin piece of art :D more to come and all you peeps under 21 stay away from my pain medicine

Thanks Marshall and yes the tube bender is akward to work with but like I said I have had some "Jedi - Zen" moments where I need to use the force and be one with the stainless plus the "Vodka-Rock" helped a little I say I have wasted about 2' tubing, the 3/8" tube is way more easier than the 1/4" when it comes to flairing the tube ends (ouch my hands are still feeling the pain)

Hawaii Get me a round trip ticket and I am there brah!!!! :D

All I got to say is its a shame all that is under the car. You'll need a 4 foot platformfor the car so people can get under the car to check it all out. That is a bad@#$ install.
