Default Anyone have Easy street strut bags on their xb?

Well I installed the easy street strut bags on the front. Can anyone tell me how I'm supposed to tighten the nut on the rod without moving the rod? From working under the hood the nut is down inside a cup and above it the body covers it. How am I supposed to tighten this? Even with the strut out of the car I can't grab the notch on the top of the rod and tighten the bolt. I really need some help, if anyone knows what I'm talking about please pm me asap. I have it all together and I've played with it a little but that top bolt isn't tightened all the way down. HELP please.

Use an air wrench, that is about the only way. If you grab the strut sahft with vice grips, you'll prolly mar the surface of it.

well to tighten it you need the car to be on the ground and then use a nice socket/ ratched with a wobble extention.

I used something like this on mine. I don't have access to air wrenches. This took a little bit of muscle for one person, but 2 people could do it easy. This keeps you from tearing up the shaft.

I used an air wrench on my Easystreet fronts... every time I had to pull them out for replacement...

My new EAI fronts use a painless Allen head bolt to secure the upper mounts together.
