Anyhow - Got the part - first impression? VERY IMPRESSED! The brace is EXTREMELY light, few pounds at most. The paint qaulity was very nice, even color and smooth. The "GT-Spec" badge even looked good - and I HATE having ANYONES name on my stuff if I had to pay for it - but it looked good - I kept it on, first tiem for everything.
All the welds were very consistant and even - not even any splatter near the beads. Nice. Every single spot where 2 peice of metal came together, there was a weld - EVERYTHING was welded - very sturdy.
The brace was very low profile and doesn't appear to stick down any further than the stock support bars did.
INSTALLATION. It took me longer to get a jack stand under the car than it did to install the brace. Completely idiot proof. If you can figure out how a socket wrench works, you can install the brace.
FUNCTION? I don't normally drive the box hard (that's what my sports cars are for), got the brace on - took it few blocks over to I-10, got a really wavy on ramp - smashed it hard and it definately made the box 'sit' flatter through the hard corners - it had a more go-kart effect, there was a change in body roll (less). It's still not an auto-x champ, but it's improved. Was surprised really.
All in all - A+ ! If I'd tried out the part before buying it, to be honest, I woulda paid more than I did, and I don't like buying useless parts just for the 'I have that' factor. It's definately an improvement item - the 'bling' is just a freebie.

Yeah...we noticed that your part was going to your shop. The only confusing thing for me was when i looked up your tracking number it showed the island but after checking into it again it was definitely going to your shop and we definitely made the change you requested.
Glad your enjoying it...i completely agree with your opinions on this piece. Huge bang for the buck.

A large number of companies do this. Are the GTSpecs made there? I don't know. But before specifically pointing out GTSpec? do me a favor and prove it instead of linking to your site.
I think thats a fair thing to ask don't you? So far the customers who have purchased the gtspec bracing have been nothing but pleased with the results
also...
S-U-MM-IT racing equipments? now lets talk about ripoff of an american company.
Lastly..how much is shipping and whats your time frame from ordering. Who do we talk to so we have good communication when ordering so we know what we are getting?
