Most comfortable Lowering Springs?
I've already posted this on the Lonestar forum and I've gotten a few great suggestions but I thought you guys might give me more. Thanks in advaance.
I'm planning to lower my 2006 xB but I don't know which lowering springs I should install that will provide the most comfortable ride (at least almost or better than stock ride) and yet will provide the lowest drop. Please give detail as to the brand name, how much 'drop' do I get and what are the consequences. I'm thinking about installing 17/7.5 wheels with 215/45/17 tires coz my xB is my daily car. I drive people around and I want to give them the best comfort and yet get better handling.
Also, once I install the recommended lowering springs should I replace all 4 shocks or should I keep the original for awhile until they go bad?
Thanks guys.

Drop is lower than stock, but they'll allow for most daily driving + a factory warranty.
Since comfort is key for u, my guess is everything else might be more performance intensive (making the ride stiffer and even lower).
I'm quite happy with my Tein H-Techs. The ride is at least as comfortable has stock and is only about an inch drop.
I drove a Box with some TRD's and felt the ride was more taut than the H-Techs.....not a bad thing, if performance is what you're looking for. I just wanted a little less fenderwell gap and a soft ride.

Tein S-Tech springs go lower than the H-Techs, which I think you said the lower the better. The s-techs are one of the better riding springs on the market. The rear coils are made to lay inside of each other more than sitting on top of each other. The "dead coils" is what makes for a stiffer ride.

I too wanted a nice ride because i live on a dirt road.
I went with Tanabe NF210's (Normal Feel) I can not
tell the difference from the stock ride.
1.7" dorp front and 1.2" dorp rear.

Personally I think the Hotchkis spring ride great. I'm friends with a few local guys (GAFFN1=joel & Dougalast=lance) that have the hotchkis springs on theirs and they ride great. Here's a link to GAFFN1 thread.

if you want the lowest ride and most comfortable than I recomend the Espelier springs! 2inch drop and rides like a dream. :D Since you are going to be on 17s the esplier springs will have the perfect fitment around your wheels and will still feel better than stock.

I forgot to tell you that I went with the Eibachs first and than the Goldlines for better drop and than the RS*R springs for better handling and I was on 18inch wheels the whole time and let me tell you that the Espelier springs topped all of them!! No way to get around it, I found a nice set of springs here. :D
