Default Off Roading and the xB 56k B Warned!!!

Alright, I know what you all are thinking..."dumb @ss"

Went to Big Bear this past weekend, out to Lucky Baldwin Mine......to get there its a 1 mile long OHV road....well maybe road is too stiff a term.....its alot less of a unpaved road or a dirt road.

So Im going up this aforementioned terrain, in my xB, riding on Tein Stechs....passing raised 4x4 jeeps who are looking at me like Im outta my flipping mind.
It was......well i'll post the pictures later.

Durable little car!

My only concern with something like that is the captive rear spring...
I suppose you'd have to have some pretty fierce movement of the rear suspension, but it could theoretically fall out.

No problem man! Just hit up a canyon road! lowered xb+15mph downhill turns at 40mph+TracOFF=drifting as well lol.

i have seen a couple of xb's lifted like that at shows. some people must get really bored or just have too much money. i have taken mine once and just could not bare to do it again. too much of a risk.

Bump! What happened to the pics you promised? It wasn't exactly rallying, but here's my xA after 80 miles of dirt road:

It vibrated the wheel cover off one of my wheels (the others were just loose), thusly:

We didn't see any other 2wd cars. I used to take my 90 Tercel up there regularly--not sure I'd take the xA again. It did ok but it made me very nervous.

What a View though. Well worth making evreyone get out of the car so we could get over the rocky parts.

haha, i did the same thing kind of in my tc last week. Made a wrong turn and ended up on a dirt road. everything was fine until I high centered the thing! Right next to a major road too, everyone has a good laugh at my expense...

Wow, great pics! You win, what a badass you and your box are. Good idea to lighten the load over bad spots (and it looks like there were many!).
