Default Raising front of 05 xB..

I have an 05 xB Rampvan. It has air bags on the back and a ramp for a wheelchair. The fuel tank had to be moved forward because of the ramp.
There is a metal plate under the fuel tank to protect it. When I lift the rear high enough so the metal won't scrape the asphalt the front of the car is too low.

How can I raise the front 2-4 inches?

Pretty interesting. Did it always scrape?

The only things I could think of would be adjustable front struts or air struts. Or maybe you could get some spacers to fit between the top of the strut and the mount. Or some taller tires.

If you normally jacked the front end up you could measure how much the wheels extend and find out how much you could lift it. You'll need to watch the axles for binding and steering.

I've seen pics of lifted xBs but they seem to have the whole subframe lowered, lifting the rest up.
~~~~~~~ addition~~~~~~~
Is this basically what your xB looks like? Im wondering if your front end is lower than this?
@mrrcom Hi, this red color Scion xB first generation looks good. If you could rising the front like the way is in the back, this car will be ready to drive in the snow. Also to change the engine oil, oil filter, transmission filter, and O2 sensor, will be easy.
Nice improvement! Thank you for posting this picture.
You could also look for some spacers like these for the front...seems they were out there at some point in time but I haven't heard anything from Randode in quite a while, so I don't know if he's even still around. Looks to be something you could have fabbed pretty easily.
Lol guys that pic was in response to the original poster... they have a handicap xB and I didn't know what they looked like. He said the front is too low to the ground... but the picture I posted looks alright and I assume his car's front end is lower than the one pictured.
On my phone when I wrote that post it looked normal but on the computer screen it looks like a mess. LOL I'm surprised those spacers exist. I was just thinking and it seems like a bad idea done wrong but the ones you linked look very beefy so they're probably alright.
but it does look like a reverse gasser. maybe that's the key for FWD drag racing. haha
Oh, I know why you posted it and I have actually seen an xB or two that had been converted into a 'Handi-van'. They were cleanly done and obviously the conversion was done by a shop that had done it a time or two but they did have the same 'rake' as in your picture. I'm guessing that with the weight of the wheelchair lift mechanism and the chair in the back they added some 'heft' to the rear suspension.
Yeah, Randode made some nice stuff and the spacers do look well thought-out and I was pretty impressed with the weld quality. Obviously any front spacer would be the more involved of the two to make with the way it is shaped but they do exist out there somewhere.
Have to get that weight transfer over the front, don't you?
Holy heck, for the OP look what I found...1.5" lift spacers for the front and rear. Maybe you could contact them and just see about the front spacers but at $121 I don't think you'll find a less expensive route. Not quite as 'beefy' as what Randode offered but these look to machined out of a solid block of some kind of plastic, which should be plenty tough as they would be in compression when installed.
Kiss the Sky... Kiss the Sky...
If you’re still looking for a solution, there is a group on Facebook called “Lifted xBs” that would have great information for you. A person called Randall Randode West makes custom lift kits for xBs and can probably help you out. (I think he’s even on this forum too.) His standard lift kit is 2” but he will make them any size. Also be advised lifting the 1st gen more than 2.5” or so will require more modification of suspension and subframe components. Best wishes to you and I hope you can find a good resolution to this issue!
