Default Hard to remove skirts and lips from these?

I need more ground clearance. Does removal create any problems? Do I need a clip tool? What does it look like?

What is max size wheels/ tires I can put on? Other ways to raise it up? Lots of potholes and rocks to run into my my island.

Side skirts and rear likely aren't going to cause any issues but the front lip, based upon some plastic underskirts being attached to it, might cause some issues...

I'd think if you need to get to the point of removing body parts and trying to lift the thing then maybe it's the wrong vehicle for some of the places you have to travel.

Either way I imagine there might be some videos available on YouTube that would show removal of everything if it isn't readily apparent when you're under the car.

You're going to need a 10mm socket and maybe a clip removal tool, not necessary but it helps. On Facebook there's a guy named Randall Randode West,
he makes a lot of different parts for the xB, he actually makes a lift kit. I"m attaching a picture:

Default Cool. Thanks for that.

I also did some excavation on my driveway to gain a few more mm clearance.

Default Front skirts

Did you remove these? How were they attached? I've an 05 xB that has aftermarket plastic fender/front end skirts. I'm not sure they were attached properly. Any chance of a picture of the front end of your rig? If you are removing these, maybe take a photo before you do???
Thanks for this.

Lifted 1st Gen xB with modified skirts

I'll chime in with a half recommendation/half question of my own.

I've only found this photo in one place online but the skirt removal paired with some suspension work seems to give some healthy clearance.

I'm very curious myself about that little black trim on the bottom of the skirt. Anyone have any thoughts or info on this?

I took a few photos of my skirts - I'll post them later. I think the front spoiler has been trimmed perhaps with a sawzall, or similar. It just seems to be a little deeper than the small lower grill - mine has greater depth (lower). This rig looks good. Almost better than the full skirted original. I never did get a good photo of the underside to determine attachment.
