Monroe's SUCK. Makes the box handle worse....way too soft. I rubbed with 2"drop and 2 people in back.

I switched out for the TRD's (waydo-sportivo), and couldn't be happier.

With the waydo's, H&R race springs, progress RSB, and otg spacers, I can out handle the best of them.

I have Koni adjustable with Tein S-Techs, great combination but a little rough if your a calm driver, but if you enjoy spirited driving they the adjust ability really helps out.

Clearance?

Did you know that if you took the rear shocks out and set the car down, you'd be at the same height?

shocks don't affect the ride height, they just dampen the return rate of the spring. as long as you get the right shock for the car, you will be fine.

There's the H&R Cup kits , they are a spring/strut/shock combo
KYB makes shocks/struts for the echo which fit too
Tokico makes 16 way adjustable shock/struts for the xb

The H&Rs and Tokicos cost $600+ for a set though.
