Default Slip Indicator light came on after new tires today...

Hello SL forum! I haven't been here in so long

This afternoon on the way back from another town I had a tire blow out on me, had them replaced and on the way home I took an on ramp pretty quickly and the Slip light barked.

I felt the car brake and try to stop what it thought was a skid. Is there a reset I don't know about when new tires are put on? I looked around and didn't see anything obvious in the forums so I thought I would ask.

All the anti-slip system does is compare the relative rotational speeds of the wheels, and if one gets really out of line compared to the other, the system backs off on power and may even do a little selective braking.

There really is no reset...

Chances are, one wheel lost a bit of traction on that turn, started to spin a bit, and the system backed it down...

Fair enough, however I have taken the same on ramp at the same speed a hundred times. That's what concerned me

I did run out and tighten my gas cap just in case as I have seen that cause all sorts of issues.

New tires are actually fairly slick until the mold release compound from the manufacturing process is warn off 'em. Could have been that, too. The new tires will probably do a lot better once they get scuffed and washed.
