It seems simple, but has anyone ever thought of making their own? I don't know what it would take to do this, but let me know what you think...

Go ahead and put the Progres on your old box, us xA'ers know to stick with TRD.....

I don't know about making your own, you'd have to be just right on your bends, fab your mounting plates, drill them and weld them to the bar....when you can get that already done for you for $150, I'd rather just buy it.

Hey, I just got my Progress in the mail today! To my complete surprise it's REALLY much heavier than I expected. I mean I just put on a CF hood to loos some weight to gain it back from the rear sway bar!??

It better be worth it's weight! Anyone have a comment on this?

I guess this means I should install the thing at least to see what every one's raving about. I already have the CAI, Header, Exhaust, front strut bar. Every piece has had its improvement but some allot more than others.

CAI has been the biggest surprise for me so far in terms of noticeable performance.

Handling has changed from Tenzo Springs 1.6" Front Drop / 2.0" Rear Drop but the Tanabe Strut bar was very minimal and the 215/35/18's speak for themselves for a different drive feel (they handle allot better with the drop than I was told the would).

I guess I am just shocked at the dead weight of the Progress Sway Bar. Never expected it to be so heavy. Maybe it has to be to be affective.

It is a trade off... soild bar for the strength and live with the weight, or hollow bar for the weight and it flex more....

At least it's not unsprung weight....

Does anyone know if it is possible to install the sway bar without lifting the car and taking the wheels off. Saw the write up and it looked like it might be possible. Im kinda lazy...

I do not see why we should have to take the wheels off. I am gonna take a look but will not take em off if I can help it.

TRD or Progress....they are both hunks of metal that do the same thing and do a good job too

..I have the TRD and like the red that shows through my rims I thnk I paid about 150 off ebay for it wiht shipping came to $170...

bottom line - you can't really go wrong with either! a very noticable improvement MOD

I put mine on ramps to install it, I'm too fat to slide under. But you don't have to remove anything.

you do not have to take the wheels off...It is a two man job, due to the size of the bar

you'll be done in 5 minutes (that's with jacking the car up)

anything is possible but it would be a major pain in the ****...you save yourself time and cursing if you just lifted the car up
