its not "dead weight", it serves a good purpose.

if youre at stock height you probably wont need to even jack the car up.

it would only be necessary to take the wheels off if youre worried about scratching or scuffing the back side. i had the steelies and left them on, i might have made minor little scuffs from the ratchet wrench tapping it once or twice but thats it. could have been avoided if was more careful, but the "damage" was nothing.

CAI has been the biggest surprise for me so far in terms of noticeable performance.

Handling has changed from Tenzo Springs 1.6" Front Drop / 2.0" Rear Drop but the Tanabe Strut bar was very minimal and the 215/35/18's speak for themselves for a different drive feel (they handle allot better with the drop than I was told the would).

I guess I am just shocked at the dead weight of the Progress Sway Bar. Never expected it to be so heavy. Maybe it has to be to be affective.
after this the next two mods you should really do - should be headers (I went with Alphawerks)and a lightened pully (I went with Perrin)both will be VERY noticable improvements

LOL I said ". I already have the CAI, Header, Exhaust, front strut bar. Every piece has had its improvement but some allot more than others. " and they were not a big boost compared to the CAI.

I have a (red) Agency Pulley in my trunk for when I can afford the install. I hope the Pulley does something.

I am gonna try it out for a week or so and let you know how it improves my ride. So far it seems to handle turns allot better. More efficient turns, hmmm hope there's more or I hope the Agency Pulley I install makes up for the heavy Sway Bar

Some pics! I thought it would help to show how easy it can be to install if you want to.

It took me 45min to install once I really decided to do it, and that's with a small break in between to rest the muscles in my hand/arm since I was doing this alone I had to multitask. Sort of a hassle when you are not used to it.

Shhheeeett it looks good even lifted

$10 tool kit, $60 air mat, free lifts from Moms garage and free use of the neighbors back yard since no one lives there!

Dirty Tenzo Springs! Heh, these bars lowered my rear I think

Before Progress Sway Bar:

After Progress Sway Bar!

Only thing I really do not like so far is that you can see it under the car but not much since it's grey. I like the idea of the TRD cause it's red and will show better.

Not sure if the TRD it better or worse though in performance.

I gotta say after a couple of weeks with smooth turns, once I got over the extra weight this Mod is really nice.

Big difference where my mom actually commented on thinking it was just cause I was driving better not cause I put in the sway bar

Nice looking xA!

Yeah, the TRD is the same diameter, should be almost identical in performance

I might eventually change over to TRD for the sway bar and front strut for looks since what I have now does not contrast as well with my color. Since performance will not change.

Yeah, or maybe even looking into painting it. You might be able to get a red the matches better than the TRD red if you go with dupli color or something

Dupli does not make the Salsa Red. I have a few cans of it my 3Q3 color in the garage for another project. but I might just paint them yes. Good idea.
