Tein has is listed as 1.0 F 0.9 R.
If I had to guess, it's close to, if not slightly more than that. I'd say between 1.0 - 1.2" I don't scrape on anything, and I haven't had problems with speed bumps yet. We also have some bad streets and crappy winters here.
IMO, the H.Tech gives you enough of a drop to improve the looks and handling without the headache of having a slammed car.

ok so I've decided that I'm for sure going to get the h-techs for my box. I just want to get rid of the wheel gap above the wheel, but I dont want to have to worry about anything breaking or blowing out. will I have any problems with just h-techs? thanks...first post here

No problems as of yet one mine and I've been dropped since October I think. Check my profile for pictures.

x2 You shouldn't have any problem with that subtle of a drop. It's when you get into the 2"+ category that you need to start worrying.

Agreed. I have had H-Techs as well as S-Techs on my ride since I got it. I am over 80K and still rockin the original shocks/struts. You will be fine.

What is everyones feeling for the h tech springs for handling. I know they lower it. But what about body roll, I remember seeing somewhere that the htechs are softer than the stock springs

They're softer, but I've noticed less body roll since I've put them on. They handle great.

Matt, which springs did you prefer? I'm thinking of getting one of the two, but I'm not sure if the Hs are going to be low enough. 1" isn't really that much of a drop.
Do you have pics of your car with each set of springs?

Definetly the S-Techs. It tightened up the ride a bit, but not in a bad way. Didn't even notice a difference highway driving in terms of "harshness". I liked the H's, but like you, it was not low enough for me personally. Anyway, here are some random pics.

H-Techs

S-Techs

I had the itch to go even lower. I puchased the Progress Coilovers a couple weeks ago. I can't wait to get them. I started out telling myself I didn't need that much of a drop. I was happy with the H's for a little bit, then I needed to go lower so I got the s-techs, now I really want to go even lower. Its like an addiction, i'm telling you.

Thanks Matt. The S definitely looks like the way to go to me. Please post up some pics when you get the coilovers installed. You'll have to be careful if you're going into Boston though if it's too low.

Looks good Matt! I am getting H-Techs, I think they will be low enough for me, don't want to have to put stock springs on for winter, want to use them year round. I was wondering if you had a different exhaust or just a different tip?

You can barely see it in this pic...

^^^
Thanks!

I got by my first winter with the H-Techs no problem. We can get some pretty nasty snow storms here in MA. I didn't have any issues with the S-Techs this year either. I figure with the coilovers I can at least have the adjustability between seasons.

My exhaust is stock. I just have the Valor Tip.

That looks really nice, I just found that I can get it at newscionparts.com...or the dealership...where did you get yours at?

This is actually my second xB. Here is what happened to the first one.

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...857&highlight=

When I bought box #1, I got the cargo liner, rear bumper applique and the exhuast tip through the dealer. When it got wrecked I took some parts with me including the tip (had the cargo liner out durring that trip for some reason). Someone started a thread a while back about a different exhaust tip that they intalled. It looked really good, ... filled out much better the the Valor one. Try searching for it.
