Very disappointed with my s techs
I took a good long look at my car earlier today (before the wonderful florida rain) and decided that with the 15's im not happy with my s techs, they are great springs, just not low enough.... they have been on the car for 4k+ and i believe that they have settled fully... I dont want bags, cuz from what i have heard the ride is uber rough and i dont want coilovers, to expensive.... any suggestions

Take a look at the parts area of the site. I think Goldlines drop about 1/2 inch more than the Teins......

Don.. look at the gruond control coils... $450
Not TOOO bad depending on what you pair them up with..
I had them on my civic (sorry) and they rode really smooth while being lowered, just an idea.

I can't recall exactly how the front and rear springs seat, but it may be possible to cut them without issue. It would be a whole lot better than heating them, I will say that.
Assuming the springs aren't "pig tailed," or have any other special seating method cutting them could work out fine. You just want to make sure you do not over cut. Cutting too much reduces your spring rate by way too much and can contribute to the "popping out" issue. To help prevent losing your rear springs you would want to get different rear shocks. As long as the extended length of the shock is shorter than the length required for the spring to move out of compression you should be ok. This will keep the rear suspension from ever being completely "unloaded."
