Default Very disappointed with my s techs

I took a good long look at my car earlier today (before the wonderful florida rain) and decided that with the 15's im not happy with my s techs, they are great springs, just not low enough.... they have been on the car for 4k+ and i believe that they have settled fully... I dont want bags, cuz from what i have heard the ride is uber rough and i dont want coilovers, to expensive.... any suggestions

You could go with the Tanabe DF210s (or whatever the model is), but even that isn't terribly much lower.

Really, I think coilovers would be your best route.

well the lowest drop on springs come from the tanabe springs, but i dont think the drop is much more than what you get from the teins.

the DF 210's are the lowest springs you can get. I had them and I loved them!

on the df210's you get about another half inch than the s-tech;s do, if you want that half inch, go for it

Take a look at the parts area of the site. I think Goldlines drop about 1/2 inch more than the Teins......

Don, just the opposite about the bags. you get a really nice ride but the cost is the down side. I would say the DF210's first, coilovers next if the Tanabes don't lower the xB the way you want.
so sell the Tein's and go Tanabe.

it looks like you backed up on the curb and the rear end is sitting up higher.

Not TOOO bad depending on what you pair them up with..

I had them on my civic (sorry) and they rode really smooth while being lowered, just an idea.

Cut springs won't work unless you weld them into the pockets afterward. They will fall out otherwise. I've seen it.

I can't recall exactly how the front and rear springs seat, but it may be possible to cut them without issue. It would be a whole lot better than heating them, I will say that.

Assuming the springs aren't "pig tailed," or have any other special seating method cutting them could work out fine. You just want to make sure you do not over cut. Cutting too much reduces your spring rate by way too much and can contribute to the "popping out" issue. To help prevent losing your rear springs you would want to get different rear shocks. As long as the extended length of the shock is shorter than the length required for the spring to move out of compression you should be ok. This will keep the rear suspension from ever being completely "unloaded."
