215/45/17

I went a bit conservitive because I was afraid of pot holes.
I think if I were to do it again, I'd be fine with 40 series.

Keep in mind, that 215/45/17 is 3.7% larger then stock.

I use 215/40/17 with a +42mm offset and Tein S Tech springs and no rubbing. Also if i remember right the 215/40/17 is almost the exact same diameter as factory too.

I figured it out to being less than an inch difference from stock... and if you look at your car with stock wheels, there's room all around for an extra inch.

yea, I realized yesterday the difference between spacers and shims compared to no spacers or shims. There's a big difference in look.

The rims I plan to get are +40. I don't NEED shims and spacers right away do I?

I plan on gettin' them b/c they make the "look" better.

No Dough Boy .... you dont need the shims or spacers to run those wheels. Once you install them though, you will want them. Espically the shims in the rear.

Just for the record, i do not want to be held responsible if there is the slightest rub or non fitment. IMO you should have no problems.

Hey. With my xA I'm running Toyo Proxes 4 215/45/17 w/ADR Sokudo 8 17x7 offset 42 wheels. I've had no rubbing issues whatsoever, though I'm concerned I will once I lower it 1.5", even though there is still a huge gap inside that wheel well.

They look great, but the mileage has decreased somewhat. I'm more concerned w/that than I am w/the rubbing.

I ran this exact size on our xB and it was fine. Only rubbed on hard turns to the left, and it wasn't all that bad so I just ignored it. The wheels were great til the car got jacked for the wheels. Now they's gone. So, make sure you get wheel lox no matter what size you go with.

Thanks, D! Yeah, it FULLY sucked. Right out of our driveway. Got up in the morning, looked in the driveway...did a double take...did triple take...couldn't believe it. They rolled it out right out from under our noses in the middle of the night. Didn't even hear the alarm.

Luckily called the cops and they had already recovered it intact less wheels (and everything not tied down inside it...). There was some minor body damage, but overall, it was fine.

Let me tell you, tho, a sad site to behold is your beloved box sitting wheeless on cinder blocks, a milk crate and an old tire! So, we have it again and I was so glad I kept the stock wheels...

Moral of the story:
No matter what size/type wheels you want or mount, get wheel lox, get wheel lox, get wheel lox.

Any car I ever owned, I made sure they had wheel locks. It helps deter theft, if not prevent it
