Default Finally decided on Axis tC Evo Wheels...

Ended up getting Yokohama Parada Spec-2 / 215 35 ZR 18 cause they lost my General's in route. I got the Parada for $90 each!!! I really like the ride.

My only problem is I can't get all the screws in the rings???

They ship out today and i got them new for $425 shipped!

I also ordered the General Exclaim UHP 215/35-18 for $86 per tire.

Here is a mockup of the Axis tC Evos Silver w/ Silver Rings on my xB,

I will probably will get some extra rings at $30 a pop.

Actual pics to come later this week!

Default they came!!!

They came today!!! Tires aren't in yet though :-(

Check out the way the ring reflects the light in the pictures, if you look at the ring it's silver but it has reflective paint so it almost glows from the flash.

I will definately buy from thomas@conceptmotorsports.net again!

BTW I checked Wheelstudio.com and they didn't return my phone calls (3 of them) but this was a better deal anyhow. Thanks for the tip though...

I'll go to all of them!

Let's hook up the vinyl too when you get a chance. I will measure everything and create an illustrator file to take to the vinyl place. I want to take a look at what colors are available, that is the toughest choice with this.

I hope the tires come in tomorrow

^^^^^ thanks brian!
wheelstudio.com was more by $25.00 each wheel and dunno
if they charge shipping either.
keep me posted on how tall or shorter the General Exclaim
UHP 215/35-18 tires are from total stock height. i just want
to make sure i'm slightly taller by a hair so my MPH will read
a hair slower than actual speed.

let me know when you get your tires on. thanks again for the
hookup w/ tom.....just sent him paypal today

I will be sure to measure the diameter compared to stock.

What color wheels and rings did you get?

I ordered the black/anthracite/grey looking one w/ silver rings for my BSP.
I notified him of the payment and he said he'll take care of it tomorrow so about
Monday/Tuesday it should be at my door. When your shipment came, where did it
come from? California....the Axis warehouse? or from Tom's warehouse?

And you had to order your tires at another place as well?

i'll be diligent on ordering those tires and i'll check to see if they
have 40series for a taller profile 'coz i drive mine everyday on
harsh LA fwys....and if the 40s are taller than stock then i'm ok with that

secret about getting all the screws in, is to got them all started loosely first. once you have them started you can tighten them up.

see you friday.
peace!!!

Looking real good, Brian! Can't wait to see them at the next Kitsap M&G.

Man...I have to decide -- wheels/tires or sound system? I'm so torn!

1/4" taller?

I ended up getting your same rims since the grey/anthracite finish wasn't available for xB

if anyone is interested on these rims, ya'll can contact thomas@conceptmotorsports.net
and make sure to let him know who sent you ( Brian K and Ryan from LA)

Brian,
I ended up getting Rikens by Michellin 215/35/18 for an extremely reasonable price
even after mounting, balancing to finished install.

What I ended up rethinking about the reflective ring is that they have that thick
rolled-over lip and there is room to put nylon washers between the rim & reflective trim,
this prevents the aluminum ring from being warpped after being torqued. For the rings
to fit properly, loosen all the set screws and adjust them until they fit and tighten them
in a cross pattern like doing your lug nuts on the rim. That should do the trick but don't
over tighten them as he reflective ring will bend.

The car looks awesome! Looks like mine too
