help with tire size!!!!
will a 205/50/17 fit on a xb w/o scrubbin? i havent lowered or anything its on stock suspension... i held it up to my xb and it looked sorta 50/50 shot....i have a 205/40/17 on there now and it rides like pure crap, and a friend has these 205/50's for sale...
ya 50s will definatly rub.. proper sizes for 17's by the math within 3 % of OE tire diamater is 205/45/17 or what i run 215/40/17.. im lowered. no rubbing. and speedo is right on .. the 40 or 45 sidealls oof either of those sizes still gives decent protection to the rim against pot hole damage, debris. or whatever is on the road you might hit..
I just went from a 215/40/17 to a 215/45/17 and still no rubbing...Here are my specs:
17x7 rim w/40 offset
2" Gold-Line drop
10mm OTG shim (rear)
5mm OTG spacer (rear)
They sit nice and flush and ZERO rubbing...45 series rides so much nicer, plus it fills the fender gap...
