Anyway, I'm planning on ditching the potenzas come Nov or Dec before the snow, ice and nastiness of North East winter arrives.

I'll probably get some new rims while I'm at it, nothing crazy, cheap and cheerful. Maybe dump $1000 tops.

I think I will stay with 17" (as of now I have not seen any good reasons to go larger).

What I'd like to know is with stock suspension, how wide a tire can I get - at what point does the added width cons' outway the added width pros'.

When looking at wider than 7" tires what sorts of rim offsets do I need to know.

Anyone have any good wide rim, tire combination suggestions.

Whilst I'm on a roll, anyone got any recommndations for GOLD rims, the more yellowy gold the better, nice and clean and crisp looking nothing crazy. Again, circa 1k would be nice.
