Painted my winter steelies w/ snow tires white for this year. White steelies are kind of a rally car tradition, so for the Blizzaks it makes sense.
Plus I like the white on white thing. (I know it's more of a "Honda type R" look, but it's Japanese all the same.

Looks good! I always wondered about the rear spoiler if it really does anything?

 

For aerodynamics, no. Purely aesthetics.

 

Aerodynamics, no -- certainly. But there is a function beyond aesthetics, and that is helping keep the rear window clean in wet weather.

At least, I think so. (And tha's what I told my wife when I added a spoiler as a "must have" option. ;^)

 

Yeah I have a silicone wiperblades front and rear to do that and a good coating of RejeX polish.

 

Work for Schneider much? Nice. It's always good to paint steelies unless black steelies look better than anything else, and your case (from 2006) black would be more "aggressive" than white, but either way, white looks good. its like a 9.9 out of 10 when black would be 10 outta 10

I'm usually not into lips very much, but it looks good on your box. And as a public service announcement, lower it please, that will really tie in the machine lip with the body.

 

Some of us have to drive in deep snow so lowering is not an option! I went with 65 series tires and only have an inch or less clearance in the wheel well ... They look much better !'

 

I'm thinking when the stock suspension wears out I may lower it an inch or 2, at that point. That might be a while yet. I only have 57k on the clock so far (it's a 2005).

 

Jan, don't even start with that snow crap. There are ZERO excuses to not lower a vehicle. I live in Wisconin and have had many many slammed cars in the middle of January. Don't wanna hear it dude.

 

I don't think I have ever bottomed on my suspension on my xb but on all the other cars I have owned I have and I did hit my xb front lower in my friends driveway pretty hard but we have bumps in our roads in RI and poor plow drivers so I have no interest in lowering the travel distance of my suspension. In Newport the curbs are two feet tall granite slabs burried a foot and a half deep with a side edge that will shread your side wall and your lowers if I drop my ride height. If you like your ride lowered and wheels tucked into the fenders you go right ahead and do it, to each his own! I haul people with luggage and have had my rear lower less than 6 inches from the ground with the higher tires so I use all the ground clearance I have.

 

The snow is always packed down, or I just push it out of the way, I have so much grip in the snow on Hankook winter tread that I don't to be super high.
But I have the best of both worlds now.

 

I would like to be able to drop mine on highway runs to lower air drag ... I hear 4 inches is ideal above the road for the front air dam.

 

Its nice until you hit a chunk of ice and bust your front bumper up.
