Need suggestion for tire size.
My father is buying my old 17's I had initially intended for the xB, but he wants to use them on his xA. He has 0 mods and is stock height, the RIms are 17"x7" sokudo 8's w/ 40 mm offset. What tire would provide a guarantee no rub best ride, (for a 17,) on this car? I'v esearched a bit I didnt' want to drudge an older thread, and it seemed no-one had an opinion on a stock suspension.
I'm also looking specific Tire brands/model, as tires are like shoes, one brand has a 205 is another brand's 210 if you know what I mean. When I bought this I wasnt' too worried about comfort as they were for an xB, with with atein Basic dampener.
Later,
Jerry

wow 17 views and all the searchign around didn't lead me to anything in a day, I guess I need to find another scion site, as people definately arent' here. Well I gues there aren't any unmoded suspension wise xA's out there after all. I was curious if I was goign to have to grind down a few welds for these to fit like a few toehr have mentioned, or run spacers on the rims etc.

Thanks for the input, I'm going to search a little more I was looking at the 215/40/17 from Gernal Tire, the Exclaim UHP.

Next question hwo well doe sa 215 ona 7" wide rim do on these?
He's wanting the speedo accurate within 1 percent, and that's the size to be off for 0.1% as logn as the manufacture really makes it that size.

i have Falken 205's on my 17x7 rims with 45 offset. The tire sits flush and doesnt stick out further than the rim. 215 would add a little more protection for the rim. There is a calculator on this forum, that calculates your speed change.
