Offset question

Offset question
I want to get some 15' or 16" Work Emotion wheels for my xb. I believe they come with a +44 offset. Will this fit? I think i can get a custom offset but if not will i need spacers? If the stock size has a 38 offset and comes really close (LIKE A FINGER WIDTH) to the suspension arm will a 44 rub? Someone please enlighten me.

Yeah, that's what i'm sayin. In the back my stock size wheels are really close and they are (i think) +38. So i was afraid a 44 would rub. I have a set of OTG shims i haven't put on yet. Ok so with the shims they would probably be about the same distance from the suspension as my stock wheels? So would the 44 be really close to the fender with shims installed? I've seen smokyxb had those Works and has shims so i know the set up fits, I'm just worried about them being so close to the suspension arm.

Ok so what would the "correct" offset be? I was going to put my OTG shims on anyway to get the tires away from the suspension arm and to make the stock wheels more flush with the rear fender. More specific suggestions would be helpful.

there is alittle more to it than just stagger. Depend on the wheel. +38 is stock offset. So why get a wheel, especially from a company that custom builds for that price, That is stock or higher in offset?
Face design is the way the spokes curve into the center of the wheel. Gives it a dished look. Even the 5Zigen FN-01C can be had in different face designs where the spokes are bent out form the hub to the lip more. Start researchin some rims.

Interesting. I know i'm no expert and i appreciate the help. Bare with me. So what you're saying is that the face design affects the offset, right? So if i just order them with a +38 offset the face design will change from the offered +44 offset? The guy i saw who had these rims on his xb said he had a +44 offset with 10mm spacers. These are the rims i'm talking about.....

The first question you should probably ask is do you know EXACTLY what offset is? Until you know what offset is, know how it is measured and know how different elements of the wheel design work with offset you really are dead in the water.
No one can answer a question about wheel fitment with 100% certainty if the only information they have is offset. And different face designs don't actually affect the offset of the wheel. What they do affect is the LOOK of the wheel based on a given offset.
Two completely different wheels with completely different faces or centers that have the same offset will place the wheel in the exact same position relative to the car. The difference you will see is in how that center interfaces with the hoop. Now with some center designs you can run more or less offset based on how that center interacts with the hoop. Just bare in mind that changing the offset also changes the wheels relative position to the car.
Now I took a quick look at the wheel you are wanting and it looks like a 15x7 with the +44 offset. Work's website also states that other offsets are available. The only way I see this happening is if they do a custom casting. The wheels you are looking at are a one piece cast wheel. I'm not saying they can't do it by any means. I'm just saying that it will probably be very expensive to have done unless they have already developed a mold for the exact wheel spec you want.

Jk has a lift. I would go bronze, but then again its all about what your tring to do. If you want the wheels to blend in with your TCM get the gunmetal. If you want your wheels to get noticed get the bronze.
