I uncrimped the bracket and slid it up.

reaaaaalllyyyy...... i didnt think you could uncrimp the bracket without damaging something. to be completely honest i didnt think you could uncrimp it at all.

how did you do it exactly and what tools did you use. i realize this is a n00b question but i just dont want to mess up anything relating to the brakes

bump for an old thread, just installed my 10 mm shims today and noticed when pulling the assembly forward the brake line was tight as all hell, when putting it all back together it relieved it somewhat, but yea I was searching around to see if anyone noticed the line seems tight, but so far no problems. I guess there is no pulling tension so a big pothole wont just yank it out of it's socket I hope?

mine have been on my car 4 years. e-brake is still pretty good at 5-7 clicks.

sounds good, thanks firesquare,
was just curious would running a 3mm or 5mm spacer over the stock studs be a bad idea just to give that little boost to completely match the front?

any spacer over stock studs is a no no in my eyes. they make replacement long studs somewhere i dont know where.

that's for putting high offset wheels out to look low offset. VW beetle land knows about that.

You can safely use a 5mm before extending the studs. Don't go any more than that though.
