Default ready for new wheels...question (tough one)...

before the question, here is my situation...

-i want to run 205/50R16, mainly because there are more tire selection than 195/50R16.
-i have the tein basics ready to install, most likely i'll drop it AT LEAST 2.5", as long as it doesn't rub.
-i drive very aggressive, i love taking turns.
-i don't mind the streched look, but i need some protection on the wheels.
-i really don't want to roll/cut the fenders, unless i REALLY have to.
-i already have the OTG rear shims installed (can be taken out if necessary).
-and of course i don't want rubbing AT ALL, i use the car everyday to haul things/people.

these are the options...
-16x7 +13mm
-16x7.5 +19mm
-16x8 +26mm
-16x8.5 +32mm

the obvious question...
-which will it be? please tell me why and please be specific about everything...

please take into consideration for my situations, and obviously i'm just trying to get some opinions, the decisions is still up in the air.

thanks everyone ,
benjamin

I'm running 16x7 (+35 front, +20 rear with the aid of 15mm spaceres) wheels with 205/50/16 Yokohama AVS ES100s and Tein S-Tech springs. I JUST got the wheels on yesterday, and a JUST got back from taking co-workers to lunch. Four people in the xB (two 200+ pound guys in the back seat) and I didn't rub (amazingly). I coulnd't get a pinky finger between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fender, but there was no rubbing.

At a 2.5" drop with 10mm rear spacers, I'm guessing you'll rub with all of those setups. Keep in mine 1 inch = 25.4mm, too.

thanks for the info.
did you take any pictures? i really want to see your rear setup.
did you have to install longer studs for the 15mm spacer?
are you fenders roll/cut in any way?

thanks so much,
benjamin

•I have a couple of pics, but they're really bad. I'll try to get some better ones tomorrow.

•My 15mm H&R spacers came with longer studs, and yes, I had to install them. (I did a short write-up on this process, too:https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...484&highlight=)

•I didn't cut or roll the fenders.

looks good man, how you like the es100's. i had them on my integra before, they were good in the dry but so-so in the rain. good for the price, though.

I have 16x7s, ET25 and 205/50R16's. I'm on coilovers and I dunno how much I went down. No spacers in the back and I rub sometimes. I raised the rear so I wouldn't rub, but the front'll still rub when cornering hard.

to give an idea how low I am. I think the setups you're looking into will rub a lot.

btw, if you get rid of the shims, look me up

superjeer, do you have any closeup pictures? front and rear would be great...

that's weird, sushiboy above is running 16x7 w/ +20 in the rear but he doesn't rub even w/ people in the back, but you're running +25 and is rubbing???

i'm so confused right now.

i think i figured it out, i looked into you profile, and you're running 225/45 and sushiboy is running 205/50, i think this is why you're rubbing, but you said you're running 205/50 above, so i don't know...
