I have a 06 Scion xA and I just got a set of 15" Motegi Traklites on it with the stock Goodyears. Can anyone recommend a good set of tires to go with this, and perhaps what kind of springs I can get a small drop on without causing any rubbing problems?

Get a set of BF Goodrigh G-Force Sports and you will be satisfied...I promise. I have been through plenty of performance tires with my lowered S10 that had camber issues and the G-Force Sports were the best tire I have ever driven on. I loved them.

Depends what you want. I think r-compounds are the best for me, but they wear out in a few days. Hahaha!

I use 205/55-15 Falken Ziex ZE-512 tires on my box. Pretty good tires. Excellent wet weather traction & decent dry grip.

I run 225/50-16 Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212 tires in the front on my Sentra & 205/55-16 in the rear. The dry grip is insane (cornering, traction, braking) & the wet grip is OK, but I go through a front set every month. Yeah. I love to drive...

So yeah. It all depends what you want with your box. If you don't plan on drivine like a mad man/lady, then those Falken Ziex ZE-512 tires will be plenty good for you! :D

Yes, I also recommend the Falken Ziex 512 in 205/55-15.

What color is your xA? Have any pics with the wheels?

Crappy phone shot, sorry. It's a bit bland I know.

I'm just looking for something that will be a bit more quiet on the road and won't need to be replaced often. This is my daily driver car and I'm not really into high performance mods.

I'm looking for Falken on TireRack.com and not seeing it, am I missing something here or should I be going somewhere else?

Now it's time to Lower It. A small drop with TRD or H-Techs would look good without knocking any fillings loose. (And no rubbing)

I reccomend Kumho Ecsta ASX, great all weather performance Z-rated tires.

Your profile provides no information- might want to update it now that you're an owner...

I'm contemplating new tires myself, mostly because the stockers are noisy, and don't have the grip I'd like, particularly in the wet. I'm leaning towards the Falkens or the BFG traction TA's as recommended by Tomas, elsewhere in the forum... probably in 195/60/R15 size, to correct up the speedo, also covered elsewhere in the forum.

The BFG's are probably better tires, and will likely last longer, while the price on the Falkens at my local Discount Tire is really very good- less than $300, mounted & balanced, with replacement guarantee... close to $400 for the BFG's, still not bad, considering some of the other options out there...

If there's a Discount Tire in your area, go talk to 'em, tell 'em what you want. There may be other options, depending on what you see as most important. I always shop around for tires, yet can't remember buying new tires anywhere else. They're tough to beat on price, and the service I've received on flats and road hazard replacements over the years has been topnotch...
