My 06' with 84,000 miles. Bought her new in January 20006. Just finished the red wheels and trim ring. Thinking about whitewalls and removing the roof rack... Any thoughts???

 

Almost forgot the rusted hood... In the works....

 

are you rusting it or is it stripped and nature doing its thing?

I really like the trim ring because it makes the red pop!

 

The hood is an aftermarket primered hood left in the weather. Only decision I need to make is whether I will clear coat it or not. Not sure if the the water dripping off the rusted hood will leave stains on the bumper and headlight lenses.

I hit my hood with a rattle canned Matte clear and it looked good for about a month and then it kinda "washed" off and my hood began to rust a bit more... still looks sweet though and I'm glad im not the only one who thought red wheels would look sweet

 

There is only one outdoor rated clear (other than automotive finishes) that is good on raw and patina'd steel. Look up Permalac. Try and find a metal sculpture place close to you that would spray it for toy, shouldn't be too much

My friend was telling me beer works well, sounds like a waste of beer, but it made a nice even rust that looked good, also safer than battery acid :?

 

@DADFATHER, I used lowering springs and had an alignment done. Tire shop down the street did it for a couple hundred $$
