Default should i be worried about my tire

i just got falken 912s in 195/55R15. this morning, i saw a dime-sized piece of taillight lens lodged in the corner, where the sidewall and tread meet. it was stuck in there pretty good, maybe between .5-1 cm deep.

i bought these brand new tires a few weeks ago to mount on a rare set of TOM'S wheels. and if this tire might be compromised in the slightest, i will have to do something about it immediately because i dont want it to blow out and ruin my rim. this is a 300mi/week daily driver too.

first of all i couldnt believe a freakin little chip of plastic can pierce a tire like that. i heard good things about the falken 912s (wasnt a fan of the 512s), but after this im pretty disappointed yet again with falken. am i out of line in feeling this way?

it doesnt appear to be losing air. however i plan to bring it in to autobacs just to see what they say about it. i wonder if the 40k mile warranty applies, although im feeling like it wont.

i know i dont have pics of the damage but what do you guys think, am i worrying too much about this?

There really wont be a lot they can do about.

If the tire is leaking they could possibly put a plug in it but since it is not you are going to have to wait and see if it pops.

As for the warranty they usually don't cover ____ luck!!!

Just wait and see what happens.

i would just get another tire.
the 912s are not big $.
nothing can be done about a side wall injury, even if it was leaking .... a patch wouldn't hold very long and would just end up leaking after a wile.
the tire might fail and it would suck to mess up your wheels.

get another tire, even if it looks okay for now.. the spot you describe is where the top tread joins the much thinner sides.. it will create a weak point and seperate at some point

You can not patch or plug the sidewall of a tire.

you would hope the tire shop is telling you the truth.
the pics would help us to realy see what you are dealing with.
