What in the world are hub rings?!?!!?
ok, im freaking out. I was about to make a decision on what wheels to buy online and then I read this guy's auction that said "if you want hub rings, they are -- extra, let me know what car they are for. what the heck?!?!
so I've got questions:
what are hub rings?
Are they necessary for all wheels?
are they necessary for any wheel?
what would happen if I don't get them?!
thanks alot! I tried searching but didn't find much.

Sometimes the centerbore of a wheel is larger than the size of the hub on your vehicle... a hubcentric ring will fill that gap and allow the wheel to fit perfectly. It's possible that if you have a gap there (usually a few mm but does vary), you may get some vibration issues as it's not fitting perfectly.
Sorry, I suck at explaining those things, but I'm pretty sure that's what he's talking about.
Many times you're OK without them. But if he has them at a good price, it might be a good idea to get them as well. Someone else can add in on if they're absolutely necessary or not though, I just know what they are.
