Wheel adapter question
Are there adapters being made for 5 lug to our 4 lug pattern? I'm asking because I have a set of wheels in mind for the xB, but I don't think they make them for 4 lug applications. I'm still tracking down a supplier for this particular style/brand wheel, or I'd ask them directly. Any help is greatly appreciated.

to the best of my knowledge, it is a lot safer to swap the hubs/rotors to five lug than bolting on a spacer... (plus this way you can go to 4 wheels disk brakes as well)
but yes, you can get spacers that will bolt to your 4x100 and they will have lug studs coming off of them in a 5x100 or 5x114.3 pattern, you just have to find them...

I've never been able to find a written description, or link to where you can get a true 5 lug conversion (without adapters). I know there are a lot or people that would be all over it if there was. I am sure it can be done, but it likely requires custom made one-off pieces in order to work correctly.
There are adapters available though. One of the most reputable shops is http://www.motorsport-tech.com. Unfortunately I have spoken with them and to do the adapter that we need requires a two piece adapter. Total thickness ends up being 1 5/8" (41 mm) thick. Far to wide for the xB in my opinion. If you are running flares, or a wide body kit, they might work great. Total price would be about $360 +Shipping.
Another option is the Japanese company GTO. http://www.gto-ro.com The spacers these guys make are also two piece, but they are only a total of 20mm thick. Much more reasonable for the xB. They are more expensive listing for about $305 in Japan. http://www.wheelchoice.com sells these adapters here in the US, but does not list a price online. You have to figure that after importing, and adding their own markup they will be fairly expensive.
Hope that helps.
