wheel offset issue/problem... help me solve it
Hello All,
I have some +45 offset wheels, and when rotating them to the front the wheel spokes come super-mega-ultra close(within 1mm) to the brake caliper (I'm not wanting to risk mounting the wheels and have something catostrophic happen). Is there some kind of spacer I can buy to mount up front so that when mounting my wheel, it wil be roughly 3mm further away from my caliper?
Please advise.

i haven't seen a 3mm, but you can get a 5mm pretty cheap, and usually the studs are long enough to accomadate it without installing longer studs. make sure you have at least 5 full threads engaged though.
there is 3mm spacers. i sold my old set with the rims to a buddy of mine for his vw. 3mm spacers should be fine without extended studs. anything bigger than 5mm and i would change them out. just mount the rims and spin it to see if it hits the calipers and makes noise. if it clears even by one mm it will be fine. if it hits then you will need spacers.
thanks for the info everyone!
When I mounted the wheel up front, it was rubbing a bit on the spokes.
How much $ should I expect to pay for 3mm or 5mm spacers? Can they be found easy at Kragens?
