...maybe I should try an stretch my 165 tire on a wide rim too
, Nah just like to try new things !!
The wheel in that picture is 18x12 -22 offset, And I'm going to stretch 245/40/18 on them sometimes this wheek, it should be very interesting combo, I post picture of its stretch when I got them mounted, wondering howlong that would take me !!!

Wow man! Can you give everyone here of what you go through to stretch a tire on a wide rim? Ive heard/seen many techniques, high blast of air, wet towels, rope, etc. Care to share your technique/style, maybe some words of wisdom advice? Is there a special tool that you use, etc? Have you ever failed at stretching a tire? If not, what was the most difficult set you completed and why was it the most difficult, and better how did you solve it? I know from my friends we try different ways, sometims it depends on the combo itself, and we can spend hours on the first one but once we get one on then the others go rather quickly. Care to share?

I like this type of look, smaller deep rims on a smallish boxy car.

Not quite sure if its a VIP or jdm type look...

That look is definately the sporty JDM look. No where near VIP. Looks very good though.

Yeah, I love how 15s look so huge on Kei cars! It's probably running 165/40 tires on 15x7s...haha

If this car didnt have the carbon fiber hood, seats, and the rear wing, would it be considered VIP to some folks? I know this topic is about deep rims but I just wanted to know more opinions. Its not all about the deepest rims, its about how folks could enhance their style car with them, Ive seen some really deep rims on some cars where the look just didnt look hot.

No it wouldnt IMO. People have different levels of VIP and I dont consider this it. Its not low or wide enough. The body kit is sporty looking and the wheels should be monoblock or something like that.

This car is JDM sporty even without the things you mentioed above IMO. With those things, I consider it JDM Sporty AND even somewhat JDM American (Aluminum wing, hood scoop, carbon fiber, flares, rebadging of different car).

All in peoples opinion on what they consider for different styles, what I say in no way could these be VIP unless you get different body kit, suspension, and wheels.

That is no where near VIP. VIP is a very defined look and is pretty easy to tell what the VIPstyle is. There is still wheel gap on that car. hehehe. Everything on it is sporty, even if you took off the aformentioned parts.

I'm not going to sell my set! lol

Contact memoryfab dave, he is really nice and should be able to get you a good price on a set. My wheels weren't that expensive compared to say...oh...bBoxd and dajaps wheels.

My submission.

I think these are 17x13...but alas, they are on a old Hot Rod.
