hallo dere everyone... I saw a nice set if 17x7 HP Evos with 225/45/17 tires for sale locally... will these fit? I know that 225/40/18's are a tight fit, same with these?
I definitely like the idea of a little more ruber than the 205/40/17's I have now but the 225's might be overkill...

well 205/40/17 is smaller than stock diameter. 205/45/17 is very close to stock. 215/40/17 is very close to stock. 225/45/17 is sooo much larger than stock. it will give your fitmenty/rubbing as well as mess up yer speedo
I went with 215-40's on my xB. They are the same diameter as stock. 205-45's are a half inch or so taller than stock. I got the 215-40's because more brands offer that size over the 205-45. 205-40's are too short. I really wanted 18's but traded off the look for a half inch more sidewall.
I'm running 215/45/17 with GoldLines, and it's close I had
a slight scrubbing issue with tight left turns, but that went
away with a bit of wheel well break in!
I think 225/45/17 is going to be too tall and give you some
real scrubbing issues!
