Default '06 Replacement trunk lid

I got hit in the parking lot, the person was nice enough to leave a card and paid $1K for the damage, based on an estimate.

I am trying to decide whether on whether to repair the trunk to standard or put on a CF trunk. Not a huge fan of the CF stuff, but to each his own... at the moment I am just trying to see if I can do better than $1K to repair the damage, which is only cosmetical.

If anyone's got a Thundercloud with a CF trunk, post/send pics... I don't want to end up too "ricey" :D !!!

just get it fixed. the cf hatch could have fitment issues, be noisier, crack, peel, fade etc. just get it fixed properly, especially if your not going to really follow through with a theme and say have a cf hood, b-pillars, interior, fuel door etc.

also, if/when you decide to trade in your box, the cf hatch will hurt your value. if you want, why not see if you can find one in a junkyard that is the right color and see if that can save you some $$$ for other interests.
