The plastic rear hatch handle (and bezel for the license plate bulbs and the electronic switch for the electronic hatch latch) just snapped off one day and I had to replace it. The hatch hadn't been opening well every time I pushed the switch, and I guess that additional strain fatigued a really underengineered part.

The latch doesn't always seem to release when I push the switch, although I hear the latch activate each time.

Is there anything one can do other than replace the electronic hatch latch? (Clean, lubricate, ???).

 

prolly the release motor going out?

don't know i have an xa and it's a mechanical release. mechanical = less issues.

 

My release motor actually came loose inside the hatch, causing it to have a weak pull... chech that...
