Cool. We've got a couple of camper xBs - now the hunt'n xB.

Though my 'mods' (if you want to call them that) won't be permanent, I mulling how to temporarily afix a raised floor in the back. One to level the bed area when the seats are folded down. I would like to be able to carry at least one birddog, maybe two, in carriers. If what I've got envisioned works, I'll be able to put the gear (including shotgun) under the crate(s).
I'm thinking about using that light weight, plastic, modular shelving. Cutting the risers to length should give me the level bed I'm looking for - without adding much weight.

When the exterior gets rough - I'll likely cover with some sort of 'deep woods' camo decaling.

As far as going 'off-road' - I'm used to hunting out of front wheel drive vehicles. It'd be nice to get off the beaten path a bit more. But those financially challenged sorts need to make sacrifices. Plus, having a Yukon or Expedition (for nonhunting days - which are most of them) would get the 18 or better mpg police raging.

Anyway, keep the mods and photos coming Redneck Scion owner. Glad to know there's a few of us.

I thought about what the box would look like with grills. If you had a front grill that fit the profile a bit better and put grills over the back lights it might not look too bad. It would definately make it look tough. Then add the 4 KC lights up top and a roof rack. You could just do away with the bumpers completely and have someone make you some custom metal bumpers, that might actually look somewhat cool.

I think really the grill just doesnt go with the lines of the car, that's what makes it look kinda odd. But do whatever you like, it's your car, who cares what other people think...especially if you aren't planning on selling it anytime soon.

BTW, this has been in the works ever since he got his xB, along with the Rebel Flag Vinyl on the roof.
It's not the 'rebel flag,' it's the 'i support slavery' flag.

although I for one think your box is hideous (unless u infact lift it and make it LOOK like a 4x4) I would have to agree with u on that!

I live in a hick town, and I lived on a ranch for 22 years of my life...and I just turned 22 a month ago...

I'm a sucker for hemi orange, bo, luke, daisy, uncle jesse, rosco, enis...shoot, I even named my pitt rosco!! if people take offense to the confederate flag...F em...just like I think the black people that _____ about bein held down by "the man"...get the hell over it, there is a good chance u didn't live to see discrimination!

Ill admit I'm an ignorant son of a b sometimes, and I make racial jokes and slurs...but I think EVERYONE should see this movie that just came out called "crash" its a good movie and it kinda puts things in perspective

I resemble those remarks. Not this summer past, but 04, there were three meth bust within about 2 miles as a crow flies. Two were trailers. The other was a portable lab in the back of a pickup truck. At least he used his truck for 'work'

i think im gonna put some longer shocks, and leaf springs, with a soild rear awel...so that i can rais it up a little, and put some 20" atv allterains on the steelies, or amybe find some styled 15"s.....this way i dont have to find a new chasis and start cutting into the uniobody........which once the warranty is gona and done with....will be done.....im still thinkin of doing a general lee paint scheme on it....if i dont paint it in different shades of primer....
