I'm seriously considering getting a clear bra to cover the entire front bumper, hood, and front fenders of my xA RS 1.0.

when i worked at a BMW, Ferrari, Maserati dealershp, customers put them on their M5s, 360's 355F1 etc, and ive seen them put on a 360 i moved that was in my way. a clear bra IMO is the best product in the world for front end, mirror, hi stress aeras! customers with the ferrari racecars (355s and 360s) had them put on their cars around the air vents. they look and perform great! the side vents in a 360 closest to the ground comes FACTORY with small clear paint guards near the openings, i highly recomend them!! my only question is how you clean them, how do you wax your car, and will they yellow over time.
hey congrats on your xA 1.0

clear protection
syntheticdesigns.com installed one on my hot lava, once first purchased.
I don't have problems with bigs, chips, scrathes. It works great.
It hasn't yellow'd, and is probably the best thing I've installed on the car.
I wish I would have installed the same thing on my TCM box. The front of that is chewed up.
I would recommend it.
I think SD has kits in stock.

I am a converted fan to the concept of the clear bra. I have seen quite a few cars with them over the past year.
Lots of people are complaining about weak paint (not only on Scions..) I think the clear bra is a great idea. I 'helped' a friend put one on his GTi. It was an interesting experience but it looks good! I think I would have a pro put it on though. The VW was supposed to be easy, and most of the Scions look hard, so I would say have it put on by somebody who has done it before.
He got it from http://stores.ebay.com/Discount-Clear-Bras. I read a few posts in the tC forum from people who got them there too, so that is what I am doing too. I have it bookmarked for when I get my new car.
So I guess I would say go for it!

how much did you pay,
how thick was it,
where did you get it applied,
and was it a pre-cut or custom stretch over the body job?
A buddy of mine has it on his 300ZX TwinTurbo, and it looks very clean and nice. From the link I showed above, and other links that I've visited, prices could range from $300 to $800 depending on a number of factors. The only problem with my buddies clear bra on his Z, is that it was a pre-cut, and because of that, doesn't FULLY cover the front bumper and other areas. There are still a few spots exposed, and because of that, puts 3M blue painters tape all over the front bumper to more fully protect the car.

Unfortunately, it looks very funny out on the race track.
My buddy in his Porsche got something else and looks even more funny!

I would think that on the xA, it should be cheaper than a standard car because the hood and fender is so short. Only the front bumper would be a bit difficult, but who's isn't?
