Funny, in you previous thread https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=50208 you said
A typical price for the installation is in upwards of $500.00
So your blow out $175 - same as a few other places + typical install of $500 is the same $675 you think is too high???

No offence, just making a point...

You have your right to your opinion. Are you saying $175 is not difference in money. Most people would beg to differ with you. My reference to $500 will and does depend on the type of car and what you are looking to have installed since the costs are dictated by how much material is being used.

Ok, so I've found a temporary solution. My colgan bra is only dulling the paint where the clips attach at the wheel wells. I found that you can buy rolls of the same 3m tape used in the bras, on ebay for ten bucks. I'm just going to apply the 3m in the few places where my colgan bra is scuffing and call it good.

Material- 10bux
Install- zilch

Yes, The clear bra material from 3M that we use has a clear coat on the film. The more you wash and wax the better the film will look over time. If you dont wax the film it will look pretty bad after a couple of years.

Hope that helps. If you need anything please let us know. We would be glad to help.

Putting on the clear bra is similar to tinting windows, in terms of application. I would definately not attempt to do it myself though. I've got the clear bumpers applied on my G35 and my brother's 525i. I swear by this stuff, it's been nothing but reliable for the 3+ years I've had them on other assorted cars. Of course I'm still careful while parking not to tap anyone, but you never know! It cost me about $250 (each car) to do the entire rear bumper on my brother's and my car, and a 6" strip in front to cover the area where someone parallel parking in front of you might rub against. I'm more worried about scratches from parking than stone chips while driving, which is why I covered a bigger area in back than in front.
