Default APC vs. VIS CF hood ANY thoughts PLEASE!!

ok, so I am new to this rice burner thing...which would explain the situation I am in now...I bought an APC hood from street beat customs. Originally I wanted a VIS or Seibon hood...the sales guys ASSURED me that it was virtually the same hood as far as quality and construction. Anyways, to make a long story short, I get the hood sent to my body shop (I hit a deer, all this is covered by insurance) I open the box to inspect the package and find that the hood is JACKED up...and it is a POS! does anyone know how the manufacturing as far as amount of materials used, and construction of the hoods differ? I need some ammo so I can try and get this thing returned and get my money back! they have no problem returning the hood, but they are trying to stick me with S&H (which I wasn't charged for to being with) and also with a restocking fee! I mean, c'mon! who RESTOCKS A DEFECTIVE HOOD!?! Anyones opinions and knowledge would be GREATLY appriciated!

APC is about as useful as salt in an open wound.

the bBist hood is a great quality piece and its well worth it.

E-mail steve (bBist) and let him know about the hood if you already havent. its usually do to shipping.

for the future. when ever you get a big important product like that. dont let the UPS/FedEx guy leave untill YOU have inspected it. then they are held responsible for damages and you can make a claim with them.

i had ordered it through a local speed shop and old domion shipped it they had opened it most of the way and everything looked good like 1min after the deliver had left i had came in and finished opening the hood and discovered the crack on the front passenger side courner the people who own the store are friends of mine and i in no way hold them responsable for what happened to the hood the shipping company came and looked at the hood to decide what they were going to do and the last we heard from them was that the legally had 120 days to even decide if they were going to help or just screw me that means i might have my hood in sept. its been at the shop for about a month now

MotorFX currently carries the nicest hoods out on the market for the scions. quality is top notch and the manufacturer that normally makes his stuff does more audi CF parts than anything, so be assured the quality is there. As for other brands, i've seen them all. crooked weaves, bad patterns, stretched weaves, etc etc etc. making it short, motorfx's hoods are the only ones ive seen that dont have those problems.
