yep, i was parking on the street today and i parked pretty close. then it felt like the front tire rub against the curb or something ( i was hearing music at that time so i didnt hear any scraping). when i got out of the xB, i saw this minor scrape on the lower right bumper. you guys got any ideas whats the cheapest way for me to repair it?

im trying to not worry so much if something happens, going to have the box a long long time so sometimes something will happen...doesnt stop me worrying but im trying lol

 

Just wait untill your front lip gets a bunch of chips in it like mine did, then have it re-painted.... Best Guess for a good body shop$200-$250 depending on prep time.....

 

Cheapest route: just leave it be...


Semi cheapest route: Get some color matched touch up paint.

Carefully paint the scratched areas, using thin coats. Get it so that it is as even as possible. Take 2000 grit sand paper and polish sand once the paint is dried (leave over night or wait a day. Get mguires Scratch Out ( can't remember the exact name) polish some more more with that.

Not perfect, but the scratches should be less noticeable,

Though my scratches werent as big as yours, this is what I did, and you can't see the scratches unless you are REALLY looking for them.

A temp fix until you decide you want to repaint the whole thing.

 

yeah, i guess i can leave it be. my xB isnt a show car anyway, haha. i might even scratch it again, we'll never know. i will repair it once i have time/money.... thanks guys!
