Default Broken Passenger Mirror....any suggestions?

It looks like someone somehow broke my passenger mirror on my xB. The part that broke was the black, non-body color portion. It cracked right at the neck, where the swivel part of the housing is. I now have to figure out what I'm gonna do to get this fixed.

So, I've got a few questions:
  1. Has anyone had a mirror break in a similar location?
  2. Is replacing the mirror an easy install?
  3. What is the cost of a RH mirror?
  4. Can I get just that black triangular piece? Or do I need to get a whole mirror assembly?
  5. Do they come painted when I order the OEM mirror?
  6. What might my options (and prices) be for a new pair of aftermarket mirrors?
  7. Do mirrors with integrated turn signals require wiring work, or does the factory wire harness facilitate a plug-and-play type of install?
  8. Does anyone know of an affordable purchase option in the San Diego area?
Thanks to anyone who can help out.

yes, lots of people have broken one of their mirrors, not sure how hard it is to replace, but i don't think it is that difficult, a right hand mirror for a tc from www.trdsparks.com is about 140 dollars, should be similar for an xb, go and check it out. i doubt you can just get that one little piece, you might, but in most cases these things are sold as an assembly, with the tc, you can order them in any OEM color, might be the same for the xb, as for aftermarket pairs, you can if you want, but if they use different wires for turn signals and the power mirror adjustibility, chances are you are going to have to make it work it is will work at all. don't know anything in the san diego area, but the first places i'd look are www.trdsparks.com and www.mcgeorgeparts.com

Fury, Sorry to hear about your car. Why not use this to your advantage? KingSource makes a cool looking replacement out of carbon fibre that is designed after the M3. You should check it out cuz you might like it better than stock.
