2006 xB. I bought one from a private seller and both the front and rear bumpers have most of the mounts either broken or partially broken. Makes things rattle a bit (I hate even little rattles). Neither have been in a collision, but have been scraped on driveway dips and stuff to the extent that the stays and holes where they bolt on have been ripped and stretched or plain old broken off.

What would you think is a fair price to prep, paint and replace both the front and rear with new bumpers? I called one dealer and he said about $1,000. And, no, I don't want to do it myself. I can wrench, just don't care to do it myself.

Front bumper is about $160 unpainted. Probably another $200-300 to prep and paint depending on quality you expect. May be few broken clips, R/R, so about $500+ from the independent shop sounds like a fair deal to me for the front alone.
