Default Colored overlays - legal? passable in inspection?

I was just curious as to everybody's experiences involving the law and state inspections concerning color overlayed headlights/tailights.

I live in Texas and I will be adding some yellow overlays to my headlights and the xbt4 (bluebatmobile) xB overlays to my tailights. I just wanted to get an idea of what to expect (like will cops hassle me or will I have to buy and swap out to stock set of headlights when inspection time rolls around?

Thanks all.

You'll be fine. I've had my rockblocker yellow overlays for a few months, and I have yet to be pulled over for that.

^^^^ thx for the reply, I hope more TX people reply, I'm most concerned about inspection passability though.

This is offtopic, but do you goto Texas State? I'm meeting down there with some people from a Honda board which I belonged to when I had my Accord.

I'll be starting at Texas St this spring.

I don't think you'll have any probelms with overlays, I think they're just concerned about the light output.

Yes I attend Texas State University. Spring you say, funny, this spring will be my final semester (if all goes according to plan).

I'm still waiting for my PW xB from the dealer though, so another week or 2 and I'll be an *official* xB owner.

Our inspector at my shop says (North carolina) that my bat 6/10 overlays are just fine.
