Default Decrease Airflow?

Hey all,

Do you think that this lower grill will lower the air to the radiator. Causing it to overheat?

i don't think so. thats why you have a fan in there to cool it down. plus, its still open, air can still pass through it.

No, I think it would be OK from the look of it. I might not chance it here, since I live in Arizona where it gets 1734397493874 degrees in the summer though.

No, but I'll bet that the upper grill will lower the radiator airflow!

The stock upper grille is not a grille at all, it's solid. Allowing ram air through this opening pressurizes the engine bay behind the radiator, reducing the ram air flow through the radiator from the lower vents and under the bumper.

This would cause the fan to come one earlier and more often. I doubt that it would cause overheating, though, just more fan operation.

Obstructing the lower grilles might cause reduced flow, but there is a huge opening under the bumper so there is little chance of starving the radiator in this way.
