Did i make sense? LIke, i was able to pull out the hose, and i'm able to point the nozzle any direction now..but theres a notch on one part of it, and a slot in the hole...they fit eachotehr like a key and keyhole..theres no way to fit the notch in the top, bc the holes on the bottom...lol, i dunno if that makes sense, but yeah.. you'd think this would be easier, hahaah....

I'll try to take pics tomorrow when my cell phone and post em here.....i'm at work nwo, and am off in 2 minutes...basically, the HOLE in the scion has a small notch that goes down a bit, and the squirter thing has a SLOT that is made for that notch...make sense? So it's only made to fit on direction...i'm sure i could shave it off or somtin, but theres gotta be an easier way...anybody with an 04xb do this yet?

Thanks btw..

The nozzle should be held on by two small plastic pieces that you have to push at the same time...just like in the pic...he has an 05 box, so it may be different. Mine(06) had the slots, but on both sides...

If you shave it off, it should be held in by the two plastic clips on each side.

mines great for tailgaters. or just anyone behind me. When I'm moving, even if at 30 mph, it gets the people behind me.

I'm going on a nice road trip this friday. I have to do this mod before then!!! Otherwise, my 600 mile round-trip trek won't be as amusing =(

Not only that... WHY ISN'T THIS AN OPTION AVAILABLE FROM THE DEALER!?!?!?!?

I mean, other than the fact that they'd charge you $904 plus labor to do it, it's definitely a "must have" on the roads nowadays.... ;]

First off, a big thanks to hayalex6 for a really nice and straight fwd. write up.

I performed this mod a couple of hours ago. It took me about 15 minutes (since I didnt have the "right" or "proper" tools available to me) and I was laughing my ___ off the whole time like 'I can't believe I'm really doing this....'

Basic info: I ordered my xB in Nov of 05 and recieved it in Jan of 06. Since it does NOT have the steering wheel controls, I believe I have a 2006 xB and not a 2006.5 xB.

I mention this because my rear window spray nozzle has TWO HOLES and not one as others had mentioned...

Secondly, about performing the mod. The toughest part is to get the nozzle to "dis-engage" from it's original mounting position. This took me about 5 minutes to do. I don't have fat fingers but I'm wondering why it was so hard for me... lol...

Other than that, this is a slick mod. My two nozzles spray, i'd say, about 10 to 15 feet in BOTH left and right directions from behind my box. you can hit people in the lane next to you along with people behind you! lol!

I am gonna have fun with this one... hahaha!

I think it's better with one nozzle because, from the loook in the pic, it shoots straight up in the air. I swear, if i had a compass, i would bet that my two jets are spraying at 45 degree angles to the right and to the left -that's really really a wide area.... at a good speed tho, it'll just shoot straight back ;]

if anything, just hold the spray for longer - so you get a good amount of fluid on the evil doer! hahaha

I'm an idiot,
