Exit the car... SHOCK!
Does anyone else get shocked to hell when the get out of their xB? It happens to me EVERY time! Does anyone know why this is? It has never happened to me with any other car i have ever owned
it's the static running through your car and the static created by you on cloth seats. I have personally only got shocked once or twice, but I have rubber mats and a grounding box, I figure the mats help to dissipate the charge.
but people use grounding boxes and wires, there are grounding straps.

i read about that too. saw something on speed channel about a grounding box that hooks up to the battery and various under body points to prevent rust.
it also keeps the car from collecting dust. changes the polarity of the car's body. ill get on top of that one day.

I get shocked to hell 90% of the time.
Now when I get out the car I hold my finger about an inch or so from the exterior of the car to see if I can see that blue static electricity; I can see it good at night.

Personally I hold on to a metal part of my car as I put my foot down on the ground. Sometimes I forget and as I use the metal frame of the window to push the door shut *ZAP*. One solution is go to a junkyard and cut a seat belt out of a junker, leaving the metal buckle on one end, have enough length that when you bolt the seat belt under the car to drag on the ground. Little trick from the mid-west.

I never have this problem in my xB. I do not have cloth seats however (replaced them with leather the first day I owned the car). My wife's Honda however (with cloth seats) zaps us all the time. I would surmise that the cloth seats are the primary builder of this static charge.
