I had the kit and it fit pretty good. the front fit perfect. the rear was a little harder the shop molded it to the stock lip. the skirts fit good they just used brackets under the car to keep it sturdy.

The fits are about like you say. Brackets custom made for the bottoms is a good idea. I do not like the way they mount to the top of the rockers in the door jambs (assumingly with double stick tape). I modified my stock side skirts and mounted the F-1 skirts to them. I then mounted the assemblys to the car using the stock skirts fasteners. My side skirts do not protrude in to the door jambs they mount flush to the outside of the rockers like the factory pieces did. I purchased 3 new rubber sealing strips from Scion for the edge to the body. The top edge of the new skirts is a few inches longer than the stock pieces, so, the third rubber seal is cut and small sections used on each side to complete the run. I did not used the fasteners that are under the covers in the sides of the stock pieces, Instead I added 2 screws into each wheel opening (front and rear) to secure the ends of my skirt assemblies.

I feel the front is a little weak without lower brackets. I fabricated lower brakets like the factory plastic ones with sheet steel. These are screwed between the bottom of the lip and the factory bracketing locations.
