I just debadged my xA emblem off my car and it looks awesome. I was going to do the scion logo as well but I noticed on the xA where the scion logo is the metal is actually spaced in. Have any xA owners debadged that logo and does it look clean or is there really a spacer there?

I just removed my badges. And it is clean and easy like it was never there. Just a tip. When the badges are off use a heat gun( i did) or blow dryer to heat up the remaining glue then rub it off with your finger it comes off it chunks. Then whatever adhesive is left place a paper towel over it cut to size. and then saturate it with goo gone and let sit for however long you want and it will just break down and come off. Just rub it off it is that easy.

Default heat is neat

Hey guys, the dental foss ideal is neat...the used car dept at my dealership has to take off dealer emblems all the time, they do by heating it up then using something like Goo Gone to remove it...I seen it done and it looks pretty easy..hope that helps

I just did mine this weekend, and it looks great. I used turtle wax's Bug & Tar remover. I is a foaming spray, so I sprayed it on and about 30 minutes later I came out with some fishing line to remove the badge, and I was able to just pull them both off without using the line at all.

Seeing how the sticky tape was all soft it came off fairly easy. Thanks for the tip on how to remove the badges.

I cant wait to remove the rear wiper now. Anyone got a step by step for that, to make it look sweet.

Just did mine and didn't even read this first. We used fishing line and snowboarding pipe gloves. The car had been sitting in the shade all day but the gooey stuff peeled right off. No blisters, no scratching required. Took only a couple of minutes. No I'm going to go do a touch up wash in the little area, but there's no sticky stuff there at all. Just a white outline from where it wasn't cleaned well enough with the badge on.

Still debating whether or not to take off the "Scion" too. I just took off the "xB" because with my new tail light decal I didn't need a second "xB" on the back.

got mine off in like 10minutes. Very easy.....used butter knife wrapped in a towel. Also took the tape off of the windows, but i got little pieces of tape sticking out of the weatherstripping. I gotta spend another day removing the small pieces of tape

Debadged my xA badge in 3 minutes. I used the dental floss method. I was able to peel off the remaining adhesive with my nails (in big pieces). I didn't have to use any goo gone, but I wiped it just for good measure. My friend (has a WRX) said it was the fastest debadge he's ever seen...

BUMP

Nice day today, so I shaved Charlene's emblems. Blisters anyone . But here's what I did with the emblems. Not alot of adhesive left on the emblems but enough to hold them on my room door. The house belongs to my folks so I didn't place the emblems on the front door. Appropriate since the Box is door shaped too.

Great thread on removing badges!!!

I removed the Scion badge from the rear of my xB, but, I am leaving the "xB" on for now.

Total time to remove badge was 20 minutes.

1. I heated the logo w/ my wife's hairdryer for 5 minutes.
2. Grasped the logo with my fingertips at "3 and 9".
3. Pull!
4. Using a terrycloth towel as an applicator, dab "MAGIC BRIGHT™" Grease, Tar & Wax remover onto adhesive residue. (Residue came off with very little wiping.)
Be forewarned. . . this stuff removes ALL traces of wax!!!
5. Used Meguiar's "Scratch X" over area. (Used sparingly and rubbed lightly.) Buff.
6. Used Meguire's Deep Crystal System (#2) Polish. Buff.
7. Wax tailgate with Turtle Wax "Emerald" Carnuba wax. Buff.

xB looks soooooooooo much better without that logo.
Now, if I only knew what to do about that front (grille) logo. :?: :?:
When I pulled it off, I had 3 holes in the grille and a 'square' recess left behind. I put the badge back on, for now.

Any ideas??? :?:

Once you pull the Scion badge off the front, the JDM bB badge pops right in. Mine was done for me in like 30 seconds. (Thanks again Bill!)

(Look how low that Scion to the right and that BCP are, freakin no fender gaps!!)

Or drop a new grill in.... :?

How about the one on the grill? Can the silver Scion emblem be removed from the snap-in grill design?
