Don't forget to shave the blade. No need for a non-working window wiper.

some you may have to live with, but you can greatly reduce it with no wiper and dynamat.

I have an xA so I don't know if this applies, but, all I did to get rid of my hatch rattle was remove the 2 covers that allow you to cange your rear bulbs and put some paper towel under the license plate...no more rattle. My rear wiper does not make a sound at all, when I hit even the slightest bump though, that is another story.

I stuffed my hatch with the pink stuff. Made a HUGE difference. Now nothing rattles unless I crank my system way up and then it's just the movement of the whole hatch that makes the wiper rattle.

The rattles from the hatch drove me crazy, especially when the bass hit. As a fix, I removed the rear wiper and wiper motor and then "stuffed" pieces of blue foam in the hatch in all the open spaces. The foam I used was the blue camping foam from Wal-Mart...you know those foam mats used to lay on the gound and sleep on when camping. Anyway, it took about a mat and half to completely take away any and all rattles from my hatch. Total cost was about $15. Also when I close the hatch now it sounds nice and solid, too....not like an empty can.

Well, i just used foam tape all on the back of the lic. plate. As for the wiper. . . i stuffed some cardboard in the arm between the back of the blade and the arm, now it doesnt rattle so much as move. But i dont hear much rattle, but i also always have my windows down.

Fiberglass insulation like used in homes. It's heat resistant, moisture resistant (not like water can really get in there), and deadens noise. It worked great and only costs a little over $10 a roll at Lowe's.
